Description
Booths "Chinese Tree" A8001 Creamer and Sugar Bowl with Lid, Made in England, Vintage. Thomas Booth created this high quality dinnerware from 1912 to 1929. I believe it is hand-painted over transferware. His company eventually merged with Royal Doulton in 1971.
The sugar bowl measures 5-1/2" in height, 6" from tip to tip of handles on the sides, and 4" diameter on top opening. The creamer measures 4-1/4" ht to top of handle, 5" in greatest width, and 2-3/4" diameter at top opening. There are no chips or cracks. However, there is crazing due to age, with gray lines of crazing in the interior of both pieces. This crazing has not affected its usefulness, and is not visible when filled with cream and sugar. These beautiful pieces have been carefully used and stored in a smoke-free and pet-free home. For security they will be shipped USPS Priority Mail.
